You might not know it, but your Nexus 7 has a handy power saving feature built into it. A sensor in the device’s bezel is able to put your tablet’s screen to sleep, the idea being your Nexus 7 will have the ability to detect whether you have closed its cover and therefore boost the battery life.

As yet, there is no sign of official covers (which one assumes will have this feature built in) so you can either try to locate a third party case or, as above, build your own. One forum user has found a Kindle case at his local pound shop costing, you guessed it, £1.
If you are curious to learn more about the smart cover sensor, and where it is positioned, the following video will help.
