I’ll tell you straight away, there is almost no chance of me opening up my brand new Nexus 7! It will invalidate the warranty, and I’ll probably break it!
This is definitely not something we’d recommend you do, if you are unlucky enough to have a problem, send it back to the appropriate people and get it fixed professionally.
Right, that’s the warning over
Of course some of you are going to want to get inside, possibly to see what modification possibilities await us, or may be just out of curiosity! I’d be interested to know if there was any scope to expand storage for example. And what about hacking in some extra functionality?
It will be interesting to see what the community comes up with and I’ll be sure to post up any Nexus 7 Mods I come across.
If you’ve done anything interesting yourself, please get in touch and I’d love to post up on this blog. You’ll be sharing your exploits with a load of other Nexus 7 fans and it will be interesting to see what crazy things people get up to. I guess the good thing about a ‘budget’ tablet is that the potential for experimentation is greater.
Inside the Nexus 7
So, you probably came to this blog post wondering how to open up your Asus Nexus 7 tablet?
Well, as I said at the start, it’s not something I’m going to do myself so I don’t have any photos to share, but we know a site that has all the information you need! Check it out here.
Have you opened up your Nexus 7? Let us know how it went, comment below or post in the forum.
Remember, do not do this unless you are prepared to take the risk, this site, nor anyone else, can take any responsibility for bricking your tablet.
