Google are starting to roll out the Nexus 7 to more countries, up until recently if you weren’t from the UK, US, Canada, or Australia you were out of luck.
But now the Nexus 7 is available across Europe through Google’s Play store. Specifically, the N7 is now available to order in France, Germany and Spain.
These delays are not surprising given the massive rush and impressive popularity of the Google Tab. Prices are roughly equivalent to those in the US and UK, the 8GB Nexus 7 is priced at €199 while the 16GB version is €249. Remember that different regions have different tax rates and this seems to be accounting for the main bulk of any price differences observed.
As in the UK, the full range of Google Play content is not available (eg music downloads and digital magazines), this is still only accessible to US owners. Unfortunately there is no official word on when this is to be addressed but rest assured the Nexus 7 is still a fantastic tablet without full access to the Play platform.
A big welcome to French, Spanish and German Nexus 7 owners, although our forum is an English language based discussion board feel free to join up and become part of Europe’s best dedicated Nexus 7 fan site.
