I would love for this to be true. The Nexus 4 is such a great size, it’s big enough yet fits comfortably in my trouser pocket. There are plenty of options for big phones right now but it looks like us small admirers are out of luck.
So a Nexus 4 refresh for 2015 would be very welcome. Improved battery life and a better camera are all I’d really ask for. The original is actually snappy enough as it is. I guess technology advances mean it could be made slimmer but I’d rather any left over space went towards having a bigger battery.
Keep the price low and put in a decent camera and I’d swap out my Nexus 4 in an instant!
Anyway, these pictures have sparked off the debate amongst Nexus fans. Of course the general consensus is that this is fake “leak” but it’s interesting to consider what Google will do next with the Nexus phone line.
What do you think, would you like a Nexus 4 refresh, or would you prefer a Nexus 5 (2015)?
Thanks for this Jez. Saw it over on FB. I would *so* love this to be true.
I’m due to upgrade my N4 in May, they’ve stopped N5, N6 is a beast (but I’d get one if I had to), I’m still using my N7 but now have an N9 too, and a revamped N4 would be the better fit and suit me perfectly.
I’d actually been wondering whether I’d need to go off-piste with something else, if there was something else offering pure android. Even then I guess, it’d be another brand, with no updates direct from G.
If this happens, I can stick with Google and Nexus. My life would be complete :-)
Motorola Moto G?
But I’m still hoping that a Sony made Nexus 4 2015 isn’t a total wind up ;-)
The answer was NO…
They are using Generation Numbers… Nexus 4 was 4th Gen, Nexus 5 is 5th Gen and the next phone is to be Nexux 6… still out for tender..
