I am new to this kind of thing, I have bought my first Android tablet and would like to know what are the must have apps that I should install when first setting it up?
Can you guys through together some suggestions for a beginners guide to Android apps.

Here’s my list, not tried these on a Nexus yet:
BeNote: My preferred note taking app.
ES File explorer for managing files between PC and tablet.
Tegra Games app if you are into games
Do a lot of typing? Try SwiftKey (tablet version?)
Tapatalk for browsing forums such as this.
Admin Edit: Note this was on, but wasn’t working. Will try to fix.July 18, 2012 at 3:49 pm #374

Google Drive and Netflix (or Hulu).July 20, 2012 at 2:49 pm #477
I have to agree with Netflix and tune in radio must have’s if you were using iPlayer to catch up on any BBC radio programming then tune in seems to have most of them, albeit 24 hours later in comparison to maybe 2 hours later on iPlayer.
Also I’ve got the kindle app, opened up my existing account to my previously bought books on my iPod are still there for me to readJuly 23, 2012 at 7:14 am #495

codfillet, I think that’s my fault, I had it installed, but it wasn’t working. Will try to get it sorted. It is used by a fair number of forums so hopefully might come in useful. I do use it to chat elsewhere and it’s decent enough.July 23, 2012 at 7:20 pm #509

I just installed the trial version of Ultimate Rotation Control by FaMe IT from Google Play. Now my home screen rotates! The trial only lasts a week so if it continues to work without any issues, I’ll pay $2.99 for the full license.July 31, 2012 at 4:02 pm #786
Installed Pulse news reader, totally love this. Especially how it integrates with Google reader. Very slick app and updated for Jelly Bean too.August 1, 2012 at 6:23 pm #832
AirDroid is fantastic to move stuffs from PC to Nexus 7. You can create different folders in Nexus 7 through AirDroid and copy files through wifi.
Notifcation Toggle is great if you want to have the notification bar
With Camera Launcher for Nexus 7 , you can now use the front facing camera for photos and videos. :)August 7, 2012 at 12:43 pm #930
