Can anyone please help?
‘Unfortunately Google Play Movies has stopped’ error message has stated to appear and it is no longer possible to play movies & also ‘Unfortunately Google Play Music has also stopped.
Fixed Play Music yesterday by uninstalling updates and then re-installing – this worked but app has crashed again today.
Tried to fix play movies in same manner but with no success.
Looking around it looks like the US forums were awash with problems like this a while back, they got some updates a while back (eg the All Access music stuff) that we have only now received in the UK (I’m assuming you are UK based!). So I wonder if they have introduced some new bug to us in an update.
Anyway, here are some suggestions that seem to be repeated by a few people:
1. Remove the latest update for your Google Play app:
Application Manager > Downloaded > Select the google music app > then click on uninstall update
I have never tried this nor knew that it was a possibility, but Ive seen in mentioned in forums.
2. Clear the cache:
– Go to the menu–>settings–>apps–>all–>google play store–> remove cache, then try to run Google Play again. Try rebooting first. Repeat for movies and music apps.
The other thing that messes this all up is if you mess around with accounts or cross borders but I assume you haven’t done anything like that as you don’t mention it.
