The wife’s upgrade date finally came through and she’s gone for an S4.
I have to say, on a quick play with it, the Samsung layout is *so* confusing compared to my N4. The pure android experience is so much better IMHO, even if her phone has some great features, not the least of which is it’s 4G ready.
I still wouldn’t swap her though :-)
(the phone, not her)
Hell yeah! Totally agree. My colleague got himself a swanky new S4 having been an Apple guy and I sauntered over to his desk saying “hey, I no my way round Android, let me help you get started”. Spent about 30 seconds looking at it and handed it right back saying “erm, it’s all a bit different”.
I guess it wouldn’t be fair to say it’s either better or worse without using it extensively, and I haven’t done that. But I can confirm that if you are used to “pure” Android then switching between different manufacturers is a lot more confusing than I ever imagined.
Another good reason to stick with Nexus and pure Android, you know what you are going to get. There is of course a Galaxy S4 Nexus edition but I can’t see it available in the UK.
Had a Samsung phone once. Nexus all the way now. Enough said.
