So, I’m looking for a new phone and have a cheap San Francisco from Orange right now but having started to use my phone’s online capabilities more and more I’ve been looking to upgrade.
Possabilities include the new Win 8 Lumia from Nokia, or the Razr Maxx HD (long battery life!).
But I just noticed the Nexus 4 phone is prices up at £239 on the Play store.
Assuming that’s the sim free price, and it must be, cos no one is paying that and a contract, then this could be the winner?
Quad core, HDMI out, decent camera, Android 4.2 etc all for just over £200. I might just go pre-order one now…
Hadn’t even been vaguely interested in a Nexus phone until now (I do try to be brand agnostic – honest!). But bang for buck is always a big appeal for me I can’t see what else matches it? I would expect these specs to cost £300-£400+ just a few months ago?
Is it a good deal, am I missing something?
I think it looks a decent deal myself. Leading tech for a reasonable price.
The catch is that it ain’t 4G compatible so bear that in mind before shelling out.
It does look like a decent deal and has made me rethink my plans yet again. I want to use my N7 when I’m out n about, away from WiFi – so I was going to buy a dongle and get a data only deal from giffgaff (£5 I think). But, an N4 would be even more mobile and as I’m free to buy my own SIM card I should be able to find a pretty decent deal somewhere. Decisions, decisions . .
