Finally got my order in, however the lead time is a massive 6 weeks, so no new phone in time for Christmas. I can live with that, it is still by far the best phone available for that price.
And if I continue to try and spin a positive line of thought, it will be a nice treat when it does arrive mid Jan! Something to beat those post Christmas blues.
I ordered mine yesterday afternoon, 16 GB version only available, 5-6 weeks for shipping.

Can I ask you a techie question?. My android phone displays stock market screens with graphs and text OK but the Nexus 7 screens have text overlaying on top of each other and not displaying some graphs. I know there is flash problems. For example, the Research screens on IWEB broker screens.
Yes its available, however, there may be a sale on the nexus 4 after xmas, you never know, I’m gonna wait and see…
I contacted IWEB and asked about the problem.
Received this answer:
The mobile access was tested on I Phone rather than Andriod Application. This therefore is not as compatible. You may experience issues when viewing certain screens. I apologise for any inconvenience caused with this matter.
Badboy, yes, I agree, it does seem a possibility it might drop in price, or perhaps more likely a 32gb version will come out! I guess, under the distance selling rules, I will have the option for a refund should this happen – although it would be a hassle if I have to receive it and send it back.
But that said, the Nexus 7 has been stable in price for 6 months with the exception of the 32gb upgrade… but I think that was triggered by competition with Amazon. As far as I can see their is no competitor coming close to the Nexus 4 in the mobile phone market, so I don’t see why they’d need to drop the price or add storage. To get a similar spec you are easily looking £300+, but perhaps more like £400!
Let’s wait and see :-)
Good job Caledonia, and glad you got an answer to your query.
