I cant appear to make notes from downloaded Google books on my Nexus 7. I have the text in flowing mode etc
Any suggestions please?
What do you mean, like annotations within the text? I know you can do that with the Kindle, and presumably the Android Kindle app.
Thanks for response. I do mean annotations and notes that can be done on computer and Kindle App but books bought in Google Play and read on Nexus wont allow me to do it. am I doing something wrong or is there any way of opening purchased books on Google Play on the Kindle App?
If not then no more books purchased through Play!
OK, I’ve done some googling and experimenting and I can’t see a way to do it. If it is possible it’s a well hidden feature! I wondered if it was something that wasn’t possible to do on ‘scanned’ books, but I’ve tried a ‘text’ based book and no joy there either.
I don’t see how to add annotations on the Android version of Google Play Books.
Annoyingly, and surely very embarassingly for Google, it looks like annotation support has been added to the iOS version.
Its ridiculous isn’t it? Google is putting more effort into supporting its main rival!
To be blunt, the Kindle app seems the way to go. To be honest the UK Play store isn’t really drawing me in, the content range seems to be somewhat lacking imo.

Yeah, I do keep occasionally checking Google Play for books to see what it’s like, and nothing jumps out yet.
That’s possibly a good thing actually – don’t like to rely on one company for absolutely everything!
