Apologies for the dumb question but Im a bit of a newbiw on these things. I am going to get the LG Nexus 4 phone but I am clueless about whether to get the 8gb or 16gb model?
I don’t mind spending the extra if you think it is important but I don’t want to waste my money if I don’t really need it. I want to be able to install all my apps and stuff and use it for photos and movies and stuff too.
It really does depend on what you are planning to do with the phone. However I would not want an 8gb model myself and am glad I have the larger capacity model.
I didn’t think I would store a lot on it, but it is surprising how quickly the data all adds up. I think most of my space if used by my own photos and movies. Obviously they can be moved off and backed up but realistically you don’t want to have to do that every five minutes (actually I store all pics automatically on dropbox).
Add on a couple of movies, a few books, app data, maps, apps themselves, and actually I think you could eat up 8gb pretty quickly (you actually get a bit less than 8 as the OS takes up some space too).
Having 16gb allows you the luxury of not having to worry so much about the data usage. I have to clear stuff out from time to time, but it doesn’t feel like too much of a chour. 32gb (if it existed) would feel like a luxury, I don’t think you would have to have that much space (alhough Im sure I could use it!).
