I’ve tried a microfibre lens cloth, screen wipes, and spectacle wipes. Even my stick-on screen protector gets fingermarks all over it. Have any of you found something more effective?
Ha, good question. Mines just seems to need a quick rub, it doesn’t seem to be a big fingerprint magnet. Perhaps that’s just my dull dry fingers… ;-)
A quick Google suggests:
“use a soft, lint-free cloth. We suggest you pick up a couple of microfiber cloths. Never use a paper towel or other paper-based towels as they can leave scratches on the screen. For fingerprint smudges, dust, and lint, wipe the screen gently using a dry microfiber cloth.”
With some tips on avoiding cleaning fluids which might damage the various special coatings on screens.
+1 on a dry microfiber cloth. The kind I use for my reading specs works fine. TBH in most lights/angles I don’t overly notice smears, but maybe I need an eye-test :-)
