Hi there, I have just got my Nexus 7. I have been trying to get the 3G worked but no joy. I bought a micro sim from Voderfone. It said on the packet that it’s for iPad and in the instructions, it said it needs to connect to the iTune to get it set up. I thought all micro sim cards are the same so I bought it. After I inserted the sim into the tray. There was a 3G signal on top of the screen. I turned the wi-fi off. Chose Voderfone on the mobile network option but it didn’t work. When I opened up a new tab on Google Chrome, it kept on sayintho Internet connection. But it works fine on wi-fi at any Hotspot. Could anyone kindly tell me how to set up the 3G properly? I have tried to use this sim on an iPad after following the instructions, it worked perfectly. Thank you very much
Just want to let you guys know my 3G is now working. I still can’t get the Vodafone micro sim worked despite I have done lots of search on how to get the right APN for it. I ordered a 3 pay-as-you-go 3GB micro sim from Amazon. It arrived today. I inserted the sim in, go to Mobile Networks, choose the Netwook Operators, click on Three. It works perfectly fine now. I paid around 11 pounds including P&P for the sim and I get 3GB data. Once I finish the credit, I will bin it and get another one. Who wants to be tied down?
