I generally prefer a “naked” Nexus 7 but when EverythingTablet got in touch with purenxs.com to offer us the chance to road test one of the Nexus 7 cases I thought I’d have to give it a go.
So, for the last couple of weeks I’ve been sporting the 360 Degree Rotary case on my trusty Nexus 7 tablet.
Everything Tablet Case Review
The good news, the case is well constructed and fits the Nexus 7 perfectly, unlike some cheaper cases I’ve taken a look at in the past, there are cut outs in exactly the right places to ensure seamless access to buttons and plugs.
The case works great as a stand, as promised in the description it sits comfortably in both landscape and portrait modes. Really useful and probably the only reason I would really want to use a case on a continuous basis.
The only thing that surprised me was the two part design, there is a base that the tablet fits snugly into and then the case itself wraps around it – fastened with an elastic strap. Of course this approach is a necessity to allow for the rotation into portrait mode so it’s an acceptable niggle.
But I couldn’t help thinking that as I typically use the stand in landscape (to watch video content) I wonder if I might be better off with a single piece case that is limited to landscape only?
The case is made from leather, and is clearly a high quality product which justifies it’s premium price. If you are searching for a smart looking case which works as a stand in both portrait and landscape modes then this really is one of the best that I have seen.
