The Tapatalk app is designed to allow mobile users easy access to their favourite forums. I used to wonder why people might use apps like this when you can of course use your mobile browser to access forums, but once you’ve tried using it the difference is clear.
The app makes it very easy to move between forum areas, browse through posts and participate in the conversation.
Android Tapatalk App
First of all, the bad news: Tapatalk is not free, but it only costs a couple of quid and if you are a regular forum user then I don’t think this is a big outlay for what it does. You can use the app with purenxs.com, but there are also over 35,000 other forums that are compatible.
You can download the app from the Google app store as usual.
How to Use Tapatalk on Your Nexus 7
Setting up Tapatalk on your Nexus 7 is easy:
- Install the Tapatalk app, just like any other. Note, it isn’t free.
- Locate the NXTab forum, just hit search and tap in “nxtab”, you’ll see our forum pop up
- You can now log in to the forum with your usual credentials
You can select specific forums and browse around, you’ll see exactly the same posts listed through the app as you would see in a regular browser, and you’re free to read and reply as you would normally.
One of my favourite features is the latest posts functionality, it makes it pretty easy to keep up to date with what’s been happening on the board. It’s also easy to add favourites and subscribe to threads.
