Whether or not Amazon would or should directly sell the Nexus 7 tablet directly has been a much discussed issue on this blog and elsewhere.
Last time round, despite 3rd party market place sellers offering the tablet, Amazon stayed clear of selling the Nexus 7 (2012) themselves. But it looks like Amazon will be pushing the 2013 Nexus 7 through their site in direct competition to their own Kindle Fire range.
As you can see right now, Amazon.com has the 2nd generation Google tablet listed up and “In Stock”:
I was half expecting to see the Kindle listed in the “other products you might like” section, but right now there is no such attempt to pull customers towards their own tablet offering.
I had a miserable experience buying through the Google Play Store last year so I welcome this news. Amazon may be dominating the Internet shopping space but whilst they continue to offer the best online shopping experience I’m happy to support them.
